If you’ve never heard of City & Colour or Dallas Green then check out this song from the latest album.
Aww…isnt it lovely!
Me and my lovely little sister went to see City & Colour in Cardiff last night…I did take some videos on my phone but the quality isn’t great so I thought I’d share the above track with you instead.
Busy times here as it’s the Lovely! Fair tomorrow! If anyone is in the Bristol area please head over to St. Francis Church Hall off North Street in Southville to buy some handmade goodies!
I promised I would tell you about my lovely day yesterday…so, here goes!
First of all, I slept through the night! Now, that may not sound like too big a deal but my sleep pattern is often backwards or very disturbed due to my illness so for me to go to sleep at the proper time, sleep through the night and wake up in the morning is a massive achievement for me!
So, I pottered around a little and then in the afternoon my lovely mummy, daddy and my little sister came to visit me! It was so nice to see them all, I miss them so much.
Milo was also excited to see them…so much so that he puked with excitement…not cool.
They brought me my favourite pasty that you can only get from a shop in south Bristol as well as some doughnuts and some shortbread from when hey were recently in Scotland. I gave the lovely sister a dinosaur I knitted (and forgot to take a photo of…d’oh!) and they all like the Christmas pudding I knitted (the Christmas pudding is going to be stock for the craft fair that my sister is organising for October…more details about that later along with photos of some of the stock i make).
When the lovely boy got home from work we all had a wander around in town and then went to the pub for a drink.
I was sad when they left for home but happy that we had such a lovely day and I was pretty worn out by t he time they left too so I had a lie down for a while….so did Milo.
Cute sleepy dogly
Also, a few days ago my lovely little sister got us tickets to go and see City and Colour in Cardiff in October! Yay!
Here is the the song ‘Fragile Bird’ from his latest album (which I just got and really like!)
Let me know what you think
Dont forget that the Posh Yarn competition is ending on the 30th June, that’s just four days from now! If you’d like to enter, please do so before the closing date…you can enter here. The winner will be drawn at random from all the entries received and will win a £15 voucher to spend at Posh Yarn! Awesome prize, I’m sure you’ll agree.
Speaking of Posh Yarn, they have a mystery sale this evening…you will not know what colours you are getting when you chose the yarn and all the yarn is discounted as they are ‘orphan’ skeins. I’m tempted by it because i love surprises! Let me know if you decide to buy, I would love to see what you get
It’s a lovely sunny day here in Salisbury…so, here’s a postcard for you so that I can pretend i am on my holidays!
Hope you have a lovely weekend and make the most of the sunshine.
All you have to do is leave a comment on this post telling me all about things that you think are lovely then send me an email at AwesomeEle@gmail.com, with your name and email address so that I can contact you if you are the winner!
But before I show you the prize…there’s more…
For every five comments I will add something else to the prize…so, tell all your friends and blog readers about it so that you get the biggest possible prize!
Here is the first bit of the prize…
*Prize!*
This cute hanging heart with a bell on it could be yours…dont you want to see what else gets added too? I do!
Anyone can enter the competition no matter where you are in the world.
The competition will run until the last day of May, so you have plenty of time to encourage people to join in!
Once the competition has finished, I will read all the comments and find out what you think is the most lovely thing of all then all names will be put in a pot and picked at random by my boy…it will all be completely fair and neither me nor the boy will be able to see any of the names when they are being picked. I will post photos to prove it!
I very much look forward to reading your lovely comments and I hope I get to at least add a few more things to the total prize.
Well, I found a lot of lovely things that I’d buy if I was allowed (but I’m not cos I spent too much money on buying things to decorate the living room!). So, I thought I’d share them with you so you can join me in drooling over their loveliness.Look at this gorgeous bangle. It’s on sale at boohoo.com for £5! (Photo is a link straight to it!)
I am loving fairisle patterned knitting right now (probably because I am learning how to knit!) and this hat is beautiful! Quite expensive though at £75 (:-o) but it is pure cashmere. It also has matching gloves <3
<swoon> This mirror compact is so lovely it almost makes me weep! I love the swallow, I love how it looks patchworked, I love the cute little button! You can get this from dollydagger.co.uk for £6.99 (picture is a link straight to it!)
I love Gorjuss! This Gorjuss bag is…well…gorgeous! I found it at Totally Funky for £24.99.
Last but not least (I could go on and on with this but I wont ) is a lovely knitted hen! I found this at the dotcom gift shop (one of my faves). She is £3.95 and isnt she cute!
